Hi,
I'm FAX, a 1964 Morris Cooper S.
I left the plant in Longbridge in September 1964. My rare (and strange) color combination was responsible for not being first registered till May 1965.
The "old" UK registration system made me hearing on my name FAX532C (AX is for Monmouthshire , the C for '65).
I have a 1275ccm eingine and was equipped with a hydrolastic suspension in combination with RHD.
To let my owners drive as confortable as possible, I had a fresh air heater fitted from new.
My color is named "Fiesta Yellow" with an "Old English White (OEW)" roof. Interior is made in friendly "Powder Blue" and "Gold Brocade".
In my eventful life I had lots of owners which had fun with me before they gave me away (Ihope so:-)).
After 45 years in UK, I was brought to Germany and have to drive on the left side of the road from now on (my owner says it is the correct side), but my steering wheel is kept on the right side. Between October 2009 and Juli 2011 there was a lot of restoration work given to all of my parts, so that I'm now looking like new showroom condition.
This homepage is made to let you know a bit about me.
Enjoy the story, and check this homepage frequently for any news.
It would be nice if you would leave some comments in my guest book.
regards
FAX
